Somehow time flew by and I’m already in Boston Marathon training. These last two weeks have been very emotionally draining and stressful. My mom has been dealing with some health issues that have worsened rapidly over the last few months of 2024. I have felt almost zero motivation to do anything. Most days I’ve wanted to lie in bed and cry, but as a mom of three, and as someone who has a big marathon goal coming up, I can’t do that. There’s been a lot going on over the past few weeks: my nephew Will and my daughter Autumn both celebrated their 7th birthday, my uncle passed away, I attended several doctor’s appointments for my Mom, we hosted Christmas and I caught the Flu. The first two weeks didn’t start off without a hitch, but I got some decent runs in and know the first two weeks aren’t as important as the middle and later weeks.
