So far so good in this training cycle. These two weeks were much easier that the 4 previous ones. I had a few minor hiccups with my oldest daughter, Summer, catching the flu AGAIN which gave her pneumonia, and my husband did some traveling, but overall I was able to adapt my training and not technically miss any runs. I also upped my weight lifting a little bit, which is something I’m proud of!

Week 5- January 13-19th
- Monday- 4.1 miles with a 20 minute temp run in the middle (7:30pace) and weight training
- Tuesday- 7 miles at 8:24 pace and weight training
- Wednesday- 3 miles at 8:18 pace
- Thursday-7 miles at 7:32 pace and weight training
- Friday-10 miles at 8:36 pace and weight training (Parked at the gas station near the beach and ran to the beach and back) Did my long run today because Jesse had preschool and Alex is out of town. I knew I wouldn’t be able to get my run in over the weekend.

- Saturday- 3 miles pushing the stroller. Jesse hated every minute of that run. He’s starting to be hit or miss when it comes to going on stroller rides with Mommy.

- Sunday-off
Week Total- 34.1 miles and 4 days of weight training
Week 6- January 20th-26th
- Monday- 6 miles with 4×100 at 6:30 pace, and 4 x800 at 6:40 pace (with the rest the same distance as the repeat) and weight training
- Tuesday-3.1 miles at 8:11 pace
- Wednesday- skipped this run and counted it as my rest day because we were at the Stella Nova Epic Universe Grand Opening, and it was frigidly cold outside. I made up for this run on Sunday. If grand openings of hotels or Universal Studios or cute kids doing hotel room tours interests you, you can check out my family YouTube channel where we give a room tour:
- Thursday- 3.1 at 8:57 pace
- Friday- 8 miles at MP 7:42! Happy Birthday to my brother Marion!
- Saturday- 16 miles at 8:30 pace. This is the first run that felt really long. It was boring and I will say I did not enjoy most of it. Also decided to retire my shoes. They were feeling worn out. As far as fueling, I brought one Gel Packet and took it at a park I knew had water around mile 10.
- Sunday- Make up run from Wednesday-3.1 at 8:42 pace
Week Total- 39.3
Tried to write my WDW Marathon Weekend blog two times and both times my computer shut down and erased all my work. I updated my MacBook and I think my Microsoft Word is working again. I’ll be writing that recap soon! In the meantime, check out where I did my carb loading before the race:
Happy Running, yall!
